and New Hampshire Financial Capability Challenge

Purpose: To advance financial literacy in the State of New Hampshire through an educational tournament which will empower high school students to apply classroom-based financial education in a contest of knowledge and skills. The topics are based on the Jump$tart National Standards in K-12 Personal Finance Education.

The Standards (Students Answer Questions in Each “Standards” Category):

  • Spending and Saving
  • Credit and Debt
  • Employment and Income & Investing
  • Risk Management and Insurance
  • Financial Decision Making

FintLit 300 and New Hampshire Financial Capability Challenge

In 2020, Goffstown High School won the state championship.  Winnacunnet High School finished in second place.

The annual in-person events for both 2020 and 2021 were canceled due to the Covid-19 pandemic.  The contest determination is made using top scores from the online portion of the competition which begins each October.

In 2019, the teams who competed for the state crown were: Bow High School – Concord High School – The Founders Academy  – Goffstown High School – Mascoma Regional High School – Merrimack High School – Newfound Regional High School  – Raymond High School – Winnacunnet High School.
