and New Hampshire Financial Capability Challenge

Purpose: To advance financial literacy in the State of New Hampshire through an educational tournament which will empower high school students to apply classroom-based financial education in a contest of knowledge and skills. The topics are based on the Jump$tart National Standards in K-12 Personal Finance Education.

The Standards (Students Answer Questions in Each “Standards” Category):

  • Spending and Saving
  • Credit and Debt
  • Employment and Income & Investing
  • Risk Management and Insurance
  • Financial Decision Making

FintLit 300 and New Hampshire Financial Capability Challenge

In 2020, Goffstown High School won the state championship.  Winnacunnet High School finished in second place.

The annual in-person event, scheduled for April 1, was cancelled due to the Covid-19 crisis.  The contest determination was made using top scores from the online portion of the competition which has been in place since October.

This year, the teams who competed for the state crown are: Bow High School – Concord High School – The Founders Academy  – Goffstown High School – Mascoma Regional High School – Merrimack High School – Newfound Regional High School  – Raymond High School – Winnacunnet High School.

November 16, 2020 Online Competition Opens (2 semesters)
February 19, 2021 Coach Registration Ends
March 19, 2021 Online Competition Ends
April 9, 2021  State Championship – Concord, NH.
