Our 2010 Keynote Speaker

Grant Baldwin

This year, we were pleased to present Grant Baldwin as our keynote speaker.

Grant Baldwin is an engaging communicator and a leading youth financial literacy expert who is making a significant impact in the lives of students across the country.

Speaker. With nearly a decade of experience working with and speaking to students, Grant has become a very popular and well-received speaker. He has a unique ability to captivate an audience with comedy and humor in one moment and yet still challenge them to think in the next. Grant has given hundreds of presentations and has spoken to thousands of people in schools, conferences, conventions, and other events for students.

Author. Grant is the author of the book, Reality Check, which is a guide for helping students make the transition from high school into college and the real world. He also has a free e-book available for students called How To Go To College For FREE! In addition, he writes a blog for students that provides thought-provoking challenges and ideas.

Teen Money Expert. Upon graduating from college, Grant had over $25,000 in debt ranging from credit cards to school loans to car debt. After two years of hard work and sacrifice, he was able to pay off every dime of that debt and today teaches students to avoid that road through his financial literacy website for students, www.BrokePiggy.com.

Student Specialist. Having formerly been a youth pastor and having worked with students for nearly a decade, Grant gets students. He is able to connect with and relate to their worlds. From sporting events to school cafeteria lunches, Grant has spent countless hours helping students deal with the ups and downs of life.

Entrepreneur. From his early days of mowing lawns to running a local vending route with nearly 50 locations to operating a retail eBay business that sold items in 20+ countries, Grant loves being an entrepreneur. He was named to GO Magazine's "20 Under 30" list for 2009 for his work as an entrepreneur.
